Frequently Asked Questions
1. How to transfer money from Israel to your country
A. Due to sanctions, funds are transferred to Russia mainly through Telegram channels: you post an ad saying you need non-cash rubles, state the amount and what rate suits you (mostly the Google rate). A person who needs shekels contacts you, you arrange a meeting and successfully make the exchange. Be careful! Very rarely, but you can run into scammers — always meet the person in person and do not hand over cash shekels until you see the funds arrive in your account!
B. There are a lot of exchange offices in Israel, so if you need to transfer funds to any other country, just come in, state the amount and the country, and for a certain percentage the exchange office transfers the amount to your account, or a person in your country receives it in cash in the local currency.
C. Often people do not deal with non-cash funds because of debts or arrests, so in the same exchange offices you can exchange shekels for dollars or euros; the rate is approximately the same in all exchange offices.
2. Meals and accommodation
A. Accommodation and meals in hotel complexes: three meals a day, whatever the guests eat — the same menu for you. Accommodation at the hotel in double to four-person rooms, for both women and men, costs 150–300 dollars per month depending on the hotel. We try to make sure that workers of the same nationality and mentality live in the same rooms. We also help rent an apartment for 3–4 people in a nearby town for those who do not want to live at the hotel for any reason; there is transportation there and back, the cost is 350–450 dollars per month per person.
B. Any other vacancies provided by our agency: one meal a day; we find accommodation for you closer to work, also an apartment for 3–4 people; the cost depends on the location and quality of the apartment, on average up to 500 dollars per person.
3. Vacancy confirmation
There are always vacancies, you will not be left without work! Since the flow of clients is quite large, the confirmation of a specific vacancy and location happens about a week before arrival in Israel. For example, there is a waiter vacancy in the north of the country, and you are planning to fly in a month — by that time the specific vacancy at that hotel will already be taken, but when you already have tickets with the exact date in hand and a week before departure, we will be able to offer you the same vacancy but in another place with the same conditions and salary.
4. Salary
A. Terms: paid from the 15th to the 20th for the previous month.
B. Recording: when you are employed, a fingerprint will be taken at work — start of work and end of work for each day. Computers, like people, make mistakes, so write down the number of hours worked in your notes. When salaries are paid, we will have the number of hours provided by the accounting department; we cross-check, and if there are discrepancies we sort them out so that there are no misunderstandings.
C. After receiving the internal visa and working for 2–3 months, you are also entitled to open an account in local banks and receive your salary into the account.
D. If you have financial difficulties upon arrival, it is possible to receive an advance for the first weeks worked (by agreement).
5. Required skills and documents, passing the border
A. To enter Israel, you must not have stamps in your passport showing that you previously visited the territory of certain Arab countries (Iran, Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan, Pakistan). People who were once in these countries are very likely to be deported.
B. If you have been to Israel before and violated the visa regime, you will not pass the border either.
C. The only document required is a valid international passport (whose validity does not expire within the next six months).
D. Knowledge of English is welcome, no skills are required, age from 18 to 60 years.
For any additional questions about passing the border, ask the consultant.
